As part of our commitment to promoting diversity and gender equality in the workplace, Manlift is now a proud member of the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) community. As an organization, we want to invest in women and provide equal opportunities for female colleagues and candidates. We believe this will accelerate growth in our company, the communities we operate in and the economy.
“We congratulate Manlift for taking the first step on their WEPs journey. We consider Manlift a key partner in closing gender gaps in the workplace, marketplace and community and in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals”. The Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), a joint initiative of UN Global Compact and UN Women, were developed in 2010 to provide a holistic framework to empower women and girls in the workplace, marketplace, and community. The seven WEPs Principles are based on real-life business practice, and seek to elaborate the gender dimension of corporate sustainability, the UN Global Compact’s Ten Principles and broader UN Goals and Values, such as the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Principles
- Leadership Promotes Gender Equality
- Equal Opportunity, Inclusion, and Nondiscrimination
- Health, Safety and Freedom from Violence
- Education and Training
- Enterprise Development, Supply Chain and Marketing Practices
- Community Leadership and Engagement
- Transparency, Measuring and Reporting
